As the name suggests this sub-menu will let you create a extend a contract. The same contract cannot be extended more than once.
Following constraints will be applied:
- Price list of Items cannot be modified
- Items cannot be added or removed
- A supplier cannot be modified
- Effective Start dates and End Dates of all Price List items will be same as the Effective Start Date and End Date of General Information.
MeRLIN will create a new Contract under Draft status. Buyer can make one or more changes in allowed sections and submit the Contract for Approval. Upon final level Approval, Price List entries will be made so that new POs can be created under those Contracts
Menu Path: Contract Management >> Active Contracts >> Actions >>Extend Contract Schedule
Following are the steps to extend a Contract in MeRLIN.
1.Under the Actions of a selected contract, click on Extend Contract Schedule as shown below.
2.The following pop up window appears. Here you can choose the list of elements of the new Contract to be carried from the existing one and click on Continue. Purchase Orders cannot be transferred to the extended contract.
Editing an Extended Contract will be like “Create New”, except for the following differences:
- Depending on the choices chosen at the time of extension, some tabs will have default values
- The Price List tab will be read-only. “Upload Excel” will not be available
All other tabs will be editable including documents. Existing documents can be removed, and new documents can be added.
