When a Contract is created in MeRLIN (either through Award package approval or ad-hoc Contracts), Buyers can request to initiate “Contract Authoring”. Such requests will supply the following information (data elements) to the Contract Authoring module
- Details of the Buying Organization
- Details of the Supplying Organization
- Details of Materials / Services being sourced (Price List or Award Summary)
To create a new contract authoring request, follow the path-
Menu Path: Contract Management >> Active Contracts/Scheduled Contracts >> Actions >> Authoring Request
1.Choose Authoring Request under Actions.
2.Fill in the “Submit New Authoring Request” pop-up window. Provide the Contract Document type and the Reason for Authoring. Submit the form after providing the necessary comments.

Once submitted, a new authoring request will appear under the Active Requests under the Contract Authoring Module.
