Here you will see a summary of all the approved budgets in MeRLIN, expand the line item to see all the budgets created with the same set of budget attributes, and have a quick look at all the requisitions and purchase orders created for the allocated budget.

Also, the details can be viewed in both Summary View or Budget View. In the above Summary View, for the given set of attributes, all the Requisitions and Purchase Orders are displayed.
In the Budget View shown below, all the Requisitions and Purchase Orders for the given budget is displayed.
You can use the filter available at the top of the page to search the budget. Using the advanced filter, you can filter the budget based on the Organization Unit, Budget Year, Budget Period, and Cost Centre Name.
Description of Columns
Column Name | Description / Purpose |
Organization Unit | Displays the Organization unit from which the budget was created. |
Budget Name | Provide a meaningful name to the Budget Request |
Budget Description | Describe any details about the Budget |
Year | Budget year |
Organization Unit | Choose the Organization unit from the list. This budget can then be consumed only within this organization unit. |
Period | Budget Period |
Cost Centre | Budget Cost Centre |
Department | The department for which you are allocating the budget |
Plant | The plant for which the budget is allocated |
Category L1 | Category for which the budget is allocated |
Base Currency | Base Currency in which the budget is allocated |
Budgeted | The total budgeted amount |
Committed | When a Purchase Requisition associated with one or more budget is approved, the amount associated with the line items are tagged as a committed budget. |
Consumed | When a new Purchase Order associated with a budget is accepted by the Supplier, the amount associated with the line items of the PO is tagged as Consumed Budget. When a PO, created from the requisition is accepted by the supplier, the committed budget amount of the requisition is moved to the consumed budget amount. |
Remaining | The remaining amount of the budget |
Expand the budget by clicking on the > icon against the budget to view all the Requisitions and Purchase Orders.
Click on the View Budget icon against a Budget row to view all the budgets associated with the same set of budget attributes.
